Thank you

Thank you all for joining Laura and I at our wedding. Our wonderful friends and family made this day into a great celebration. We've got a bit of beer and wine left btw, so perhaps some of you locals may be hearing from us soon. Check back here if you want to see photos from the evening. More will be posted. But now we're off to Kauai. Thanks again, Jeff

Welcome to the Feola-Gustafson family weblog.

If you are reading this, then perhaps you just got a wedding invitation.

Laura and I are busy planning the wedding. The invites are out!

Currently, we're anxiously awaiting confirmation from Zazou, the gypsy jazz band we want to book. Check them out.

Once we hear back, all the talent, culinary, musical, and otherwise, will have been hired. That's a load off.

Now I've just got to get the liquor license and the booze. I'll try my best not to forget.

Cheers,
Jeff

Gypsy Jazz sans accordian?

Oy vey! ZaZou's accordion player is unavailable for the wedding. So Laura and I have to decide if we stick with them, even though the quintessential gypsy jazz instrument will be silent. Can a trumpet sub for an accordion? Does a bear crap in the woods?

Hey you Feolas! Can you work that family connection with the Petosa's and get us an accordion musician versed in gypsy jazz?

We've also looked into some other bands. If anyone out there has suggestions, we're all ears. But at this point we're still favoring ZaZou sans (sigh) accordion.

Update (12/21/07): We're going to book ZaZou. The other wedding bands were either cover bands or accomlished jazz bands. IMHO, even a good cover band still leaves you wanting more (I'd rather just play records). And as for the jazz bands, I'd be up for a Bebop wedding, but I'm not sure anyone else would dig it. ZaZou will fit the bill. Bring your happy feet.

Our little Goober

On 11-7-07 a sonographer at Swedish Medical Center took these images. Its too bad they can't provide us with video so you can see what Laura and I saw. The kid, who was perhaps the size of a banana at this time, was swimming laps.
